Shopping:

Groceries - Many of the larger stores are located in the center Kailua-Kona.  They include Safeway, Costco and Wal-Mart.  You may also find some smaller markets in the city of Captain Cook.  The Kamagaki Market  is ideal for any last minute and specialty items.

Area specialties:

Sightseeing:

Churches, museums -While traveling south on Middle Keei Road, and taking a right onto Painted Church, you will be able to view many painted churches. For a history of Kona try the Kona Historical Society in Kealakekua.

Parks - Driving three miles south on Napoopoo Beach Road it connects brings to the City of Refuge in Honaunau. Volcanoes National Park is 90 miles south and a worthwhile day trip.  Here, you will be able to view the volcanic craters and watch fresh lava flow into the ocean.

Restaurants

Our favorite is Middle Keei Cafe.  It is located on Hwy 11 in the town of Captain Cook. Gourmet food is served to perfection.
