Sightseeing:
Kalaupapa National Historical Park - off Hwy. 470, near Pala,au State Park, (808-567-6802). During the 1860's people suffering from Hansen's disease (leprosy) were banished from other parts of the islands to Kalaupapa & Kalawao on Molokai. Father Damien dedicated his life to caring for and healing this community. www.nps.gov/kala
Father Damien Tours - Accessed by mule ride, airplane, or by spectacular hiking trails the tours offer a historical and enlightening trip (808-567-6171).

Halawa Valley - This is home to the famous Moaula and Hipuapua Falls. You may consider taking a dip if you believe the legend when it says the pools are only safe to swim in when a ti leaf floats to the surface. You will also be able to view many Heiaus (Hawaiian burial grounds). Some of which are 600 years old and as large as a football field.
Kaunakakai - The business district of Molokai and island's population center.
Phallic Rocks - One in particular standing 6 ft. tall, was believed to release power to conceive to all those who rubbed their hands over it.
Maunaloa - An old plantation town.
Kamalo - It's said that ancient menehunes (Hawaiian leprechauns) build a series of 54 fishponds out of corals and rocks, some weighing half a ton, for the Hawaiian royalty. (See picture on kitchen wall)
